It  starts when Saturn falls in the twelfth house from janma rashi while in transit .Saturn stays on a sign for about two and a half years . No mother would curse her child with such dire consequences just for asking food. She could not be his wife. She had to be someone else .When surya shouted at her in anger and inquired who she was frightened at the rising heat she told him the truth .Then surya explained to shanidev that swarna was not his mother .She was only like his mother . Since her curse could not be nullified it could only be modified. He would not lose his leg but he would walk with a limp hereafter. Shanidev has  aglow like the indraneelmani jewel . Dressed in blue clothes with a beautiful garland aound his neck .Shanidev is armed with a bow and arrow and a trishul while his hand is in the varmudra pose .
